Frequently Asked Questions
What is SOS?
SOS stands for Survival
On a Stick, a 1 GB flash drive that has your health
information available for EMS and emergency personnel. Other information
is password protected using AES 256 encryption for financial and
other
personal information.

What is a Flash Drive/Thumb Drive?
A USB flash drive consists of flash
memory data storage device integrated
with a USB interface.
USB flash drives are typically removable and
rewritable, much smaller than a floppy disk, and most weigh less
than 30 g
(1 oz). GBen.wikipedia.org/wiki USB_flash_drive
This storage drive is also
referred to as a thumb drive. It is a small, finger sized, portable
device for
data storage.

How safe is my information?
SOS uses the latest encryption
technology AES 256 Bit , only you and those
you give the password to have access to you personal and financial
information.
How do medical personal access the information?
If you are unconscious or confused, emergency medical personnel
insert
your SOS flash drive into any computer
to view a list of phone numbers for
your designated family or friends. Medical personnel have immediate
access to your allergies, prescriptions, blood type and medical
conditions.
Is SOS different from other systems?
SOS provides more than Health
Information. SOS has health information
plus secured financial, family, Insurance policies and more. All
on one device
that you control and have with you 24/7.
Is my financial information available to anyone?
NO, Financial information is accessed only with your personnel password
that you establish and control. Put your password someplace safe,
you are
the only person who knows the password.
What happens to my information if the Flash is lost or stolen?
The emergency medical information could be accessed but
this not sufficient to
cause your identity to be compromised. Your secured information
is secure.
Who puts in the information to the
SOS?
You or your designate, this could be a family or friend.
Does Enlightenment SOS keep
a copy of my password or information?
NO, we provide you the Flash drive with the forms preloaded. We
do not retain
nor have access to any of your information.
What happens if I forget or lose my password?
You must go to the family or friend you shared it with
or your secret place
you have for passwords. If you cannot find your password, your flash
drive
must be wiped/erased. Then you have the capability to reenter your
information
from the beginning. We have no access to your data, nor is there
a factory master password.
Will there be a password hint?
At this time there is not a password hint. It may be included
at a later date and you
would be able to get it with online upgrades and later releases.
Will there be upgrades or enhancements to SOS?
When there are updates, patches and new releases, they
will be available on our web site,
www.survivalonastick.com so please
check back often to see what is new.
How many pictures will the drive store?
A specific number is difficult to predict depending on
size and resolution. It
is our belief that there should be more than enough storage
capability with our 1 GB model.
What type of documents can I store?
We have provided the basic forms that will give you a place
for your
information. You can add anything else that is important to you
via copy and paste.
You can add any image or scanned document to the free storage space
on the drive.
For example: images of your policies, accounts, drivers license,
Social Security card,
passport, personal property, etc.
How does SOS work?
All that you have to do is plug SOS into the USB port on
your PC. When
the drive Icon appears, click on it, the program starts, and select
your file tab.
What is the SOS guarantee/warranty?
See our policies tab.
Where can I purchase SOS?
Currently we only sell through the web site, as we grow
and create other
avenues of distribution the information will become available on
the web site.
How are returns handled?
If SOS is damaged upon arrival,
call our toll free number at 877/552-0323 and
we will rush you a replacement. Once you load your information on
your SOS
we cannot accept returns for liability reasons.
What about heat and water effects on SOS?
Our drive is protected from normal heat and moisture conditions.
It will not survive
a house fire, long term extreme weather exposure or immersion in
water.

purchaseSOS?

website,
(Comming soon available at many reatail locations.)
